At the foot of the Pont-Vieux (old bridge), on the right bank of the Aude River, a beautiful building facade bears witness to a once very prosperous time in Carcassonne. Here stands the former home of a noble Carcassonnaise family who founded the cloth factory behind their home, known as La Manufacture Royale.
