Description

Thirumalai Nayak Palace was built in 1636 AD. It was designed to be a magnificent residence for the then King Thirumalai Nayak. Designed by an Italian architect, the palace is a blend of Dravidian and Islamic architectural styles. The interiors of the palace are mesmerising and full of intricate paintings and sculptures. This palace is known for its majestic pillars, with heights of about 82 feet and width of almost 19 feet.
